Life at Ultimate Recycling

One marketplace, one fleet, one system.

Industrial scrap sells on our marketplace, and it moves on our trucks. A seller posts a listing, verified buyers compete on it, our drivers collect the lot, and the winning buyer takes it from our warehouse. Every job here sits somewhere on that line.

Nobody guesses

A lot is weighed and photographed when it is collected, and what you record is checked against what the seller listed. If the load does not match the listing, you flag it — that is the expectation, not the exception, and the system records who called it.

You see where it goes

The lot you handled has a listing, a winning offer, and a buyer waiting on it. Because we run the marketplace and the pickup both, nobody here is working a load whose ending they never find out.

Small enough to be heard

We are a small crew. An idea about how a run should be sequenced, or how a bay should be laid out, is a conversation with the person who can change it — not a form.

A day, by role

On the truck

  • Your route is on your phone when you start, stop by stop.
  • Collect the lot from the seller — weigh it, photograph it, and capture a signature at the gate.
  • Everything you record lands on the bill of lading as you go, not at the end of the day.
  • Home at night. These are local and regional runs, not over-the-road.

In dispatch

  • Build the day’s routes off the board — which lots have to move, and what fits on a truck.
  • Assign drivers, watch each load progress, and re-plan when a stop slips.
  • Agree pickup windows with sellers that the fleet can actually hit.
  • When a buyer is coming to collect, make sure the lot is staged and someone is there.

In the office

  • Work the marketplace side: listings coming in for review, listings about to close, buyers to verify.
  • Keep the published price sheet honest, and answer the phone when a seller has a question.
  • Move settled lots through payment review and the payout queue.
  • One system end to end, so nobody is reconciling two spreadsheets.

At the warehouse

  • Receive what the trucks bring in, and check it against the listing it sold under.
  • Stage each lot by buyer, so the right material leaves with the right person.
  • Load out to the collecting buyer and close the paperwork on the way out the door.

Where you can go from here

This is real work — physical, early mornings, and whatever weather comes with it. But it is also a place where people move up. Warehouse to driver, driver to dispatch, dispatch into the office. We hire for attitude and train the rest, and the people who stick around tend to grow with us.

Most postings show their pay range, their schedule, and where you would be working.
